(More customer reviews)This book opens with a chapter explaining the Healing Project, a physician's chapter on MS basics, and a celebrity (Teri Garr) punch up. It ends with a list of go-to organizations and institutions for MS information, treatment, support.
In between is heart, all heart. Two thirds of the essays are written by MS patients, the rest by family members. The essays don't silence the voices of pain and problems any of them have with the disease, their jobs, families, or physicians. We hear that. But louder, clearer, are their songs of solutions. And--there's not a sweet Pollyanna among them. These folks are belting it out, full of rhythm and life. What an intrepid lot! What a great book to read to lift your spirits.
