The inside is very plush and the soft soles are great for babies feet. Jacob just loves these. I can tell because he never tries to pull them off. We bought him Uggs- he hates them, won't keep them on. Bought him a nice soft pair of Nike sneakers-off they came. I read the reviews for Robeez booties and thought I would take a chance. He hasn't once tried to take them off. As far as being waterproof, it's not really an issue. He is only 14 months old and I don't typically let him walk in snow or puddles anyway. I do however think these run a bit small. The 12-18 month fit him perfectly right now with no room to grow. We'll see...
