(More customer reviews)We recently got our first ever puppy and bought several books to learn what to do and what to expect, but none of them are as good as this book. Bonham's book is thinner than some of the others I have, but she packs more practical information in her book. Her writing style is easy and friendly, making the reading of the book fun as well as easily understood. She includes practical tips on everything from traveling to training and getting through those early days. I also am thrilled with the lists and charts in the appendix, which will make care of my new pet easy for a long time to come. I wish I had bought this book before we got our puppy, but I'm glad I at least have it now.
