(More customer reviews)I bought these for a costume, although I love them and would wear them all the time. When I first received them, I was really excited to wear them that night, until I was pelted by the smell. They smelled like brand new tires, chemicals, and burning rubber. It was horrible. I put them outside in my garage for a week while I went on vacation, and I came back expecting them to smell absolutely normal, and was disappointed when they still smelled like the for mentioned scents, only faintly less then before. So I aired them out for another month. When I finally needed them for my costume, they still smelled if you stuck your face up to them, and you would get the occasional whiff of gross smell, but they were much better. I love these boots, they are really cool, and I've gotten quite a few compliments on them, you just have to air them out FOREVER!!! before you wear them.
