However...I bought these shoes on September 6 for my son, who was required to wear dress shoes for private school junior kindergarten. He wore them three hours a day, five days a week, for just over a month. Almost immediately, we noticed that the heavy buckle would flip open, causing the shoe to fall off during normal wear. By October 14, the scuffs were beginning to reveal a leather quality that was not ideal. And, worst of all, the velcro pieces were pulling apart from the shoe. Perhaps my son's shoes were just an abnormal pair? The shoes were made in China, and I hate to say it, but the quality reflects it. I expected better from this brand.
