(More customer reviews)These are adorable in person and I've received compliments on them. I got a pair in every color because I like argyle so much. On the plus side, the socks are thin yet warm and snug enough that they don't slip down. However, they're REALLY snug even on reasonably slim legs (the argyle pattern gets imprinted on my skin!). If your calves are bigger or more muscular then these socks will probably be uncomfortable. The only disappointing thing about them was that they got threadbare quickly -- I've only washed them twice. Otherwise, they're great socks.
