The heel height is 3 inches or so - not hard to walk in and not uncomfortable, either. The calf of the boot is a knit material, thick, but does cover your whole calf (I'm 5'11", so that's no feat). Anyway, the boots fit well, I love the color, and they'll look good with tights, skirts, leggings, etc as well as skinny jeans. Good price, too. Very happy with these!!
