I was looking for something high but easy to walk in -- if you read my Amazon reviews, you'll see a common theme is comfort & stability, so I'm quite happy these shoes can bring the funk without rubbing/pinching/squeezing/wobbling/etc.
They're kinda clunky, though. Not as bad as shoes with thicker straps might be, and also I like how the ankle strap sits a little low across the top of the foot as opposed to tighter & higher up, which tends to cut the leg off. Still, I think these might be a bit dark & "severe" to wear with skirts or shorts, but they rock with jeans & longer pants. Kind of a 70's vibe. The little gold studs are a nice touch, too -- when I modeled these shoes for a friend, he commented on 'em right away, said they looked very "rocker chick."
Took one star off, though, cause I needed to punch new holes in the straps to get the proper fit around my ankle. No big deal, was really easy to just push a metal kitchen skewer through the "leather" but it's not like I have tiny ankles and need to do this all the time... I just think they were chintzy on the holes for whatever reason. So you, too, may need to make an adjustment here.
Otherwise, these are great shoes. Very sturdy for all the lift they provide. Adorable 3-season sandal at a great price. Cheers!
